The weather was beautiful for the 20th annual Westport Island Shore Run 10K Road Race that took place on Sunday, Aug. 17 on bridge-accessible Westport Island, Maine.  It was a huge success! 

We had a great turnout for "Maine's Best Little 10K Road Race" with almost 90 runners and walkers.  The 20th anniversary running of the race benefited the Westport Island Volunteer Fire Department, whose members directed traffic, provided logistical support, and otherwise did an excellent job helping out at the race!

First place female runner: Amy Schmid; 

First place male runner: Benjamin Demevs; 

Second place female runner: Brooke Valentine; 

Second place male runner: Sherif Seda; 

Third place female runner: Kyra Long; 

Third place male runner: Chris Pert.
